A Day in the Life
We offer you an exciting Field Implementation Engineer position as a HealthCast Services lead installer executing in-hospital monitor set up and configuration of Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) products. This role requires a heavy IT foundational skillset that will leverage your experience in the areas of device set up, configuration and deployment of both hardware and software-based products. This is both a challenging and rewarding position that offers the opportunity to demonstrate both technical proficiency and hands on medical device set up and deployment of equipment in hospitals across the US. Our customers are typically acute care hospitals, and the users of our devices are in patient care units. Our HealthCast products are both software and hardware-based technologies typically leveraging in place hospital infrastructure. You will be part of the HealthCast Services team working on projects requiring good foundational understandings of technologies and hardware equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other data transmission and security protocols in primarily hospital settings, including patient rooms. You will be responsible for managing IT working sessions ensuring project readiness in advance of traveling to our valued accounts. As you continue to learn our solutions and product offerings, this role is positioned as an opportunity to evolve into a lead implementation engineer position within our HealthCast Services team.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead Field Implementation efforts including significant travel to hospitals across the US

Perform hands-on installation work at customer locations for all AC&M product offerings

Lead customer IT workstream meetings in partnership with our project managers as a subject matter expert with our suite of medical device and software offerings

Develop a deep understanding of the installation process for HealthCast products with a keen eye on optimizing our deployment methodologies

Effective communication both verbally and in written form,

Conduct on-site IT trainings to hospital staff on our products

Provide guidance to customers on how best to configure their environment for our products
-
Ensure installation work that meets highest quality and customer services standards

Create/maintain installation documentation

Provide "Level 2" technical support for all HealthCast products

Must be available for after-hours or weekend support if emergency customer situations occur

Provide technical input for our Sales Directors and Sales Engineers

Develop and deploy hardware and software tools that optimize field installations and configurations

Provide feedback to R&D on how to make products easier to deploy and support in the field
Requirements
-
Must possess Bachelors degree
-
10+ years as an I/T professional in this role or related roles, with emphasis on Windows based systems as well as networking including wireless based technologies
Nice to Have

OEM experience as a Field Service Engineer, Philips, GE, Nihon Koden, Drager

A problem solving mindset

Experience scripting

Documented history of interacting with customers and deploying equipment in a customer environment, with a strong preference for hospital experience

Networking experience including set up and configuration of Routers, Switches, VLANs, Subnets, Firewalls, general network troubleshooting skills

Sound background with Microsoft products including Windows OS (Windows 10&11), Server 2016, 2019 & 2022. SQL Server 2016, 2019, 2022

Experience with using Active Directory for authentication and authorization

Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud including VMWare and Azure
-
Wi-Fi Experience, including 802.11 standards and certificates
-
Desktop support of hardware & device imaging
-
Security experience including and understanding of encryption protocols
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$95,200.00 - $142,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
