Job description

As a Presales Solution Consultant, Reporting & Analytics, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and strategic presales overlay, supporting high-impact opportunities where reporting, analytics, and data storytelling materially influence deal outcomes.

This role partners across Sales and Presales to uncover analytics requirements, shape solution strategy, and bring the UKG analytics story to life through discovery, demos, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and executive presentations. You will help customers see how workforce data-across HCM, Payroll, and Workforce Management-drives smarter decisions, operational efficiency, and measurable business value.

Success in this role means making complex analytics feel clear and approachable, adapting quickly in dynamic deal environments, and confidently stepping into opportunities where reporting expertise fills a critical gap.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across UKG's reporting and analytics ecosystem, including People Analytics, Workforce Intelligence Hub, Data Warehousing, and Pro WFM Data Hub.

  • Act as a strategic presales overlay, proactively supporting complex mid-market and enterprise opportunities where analytics expertise is essential.

  • Partner with Sales and Presales teams to lead discovery, shape opportunity strategy, design demos, and support competitive positioning.

  • Build, configure, and adapt reports, dashboards, and analytics artifacts-including proof-of-concept experiences-to support evolving opportunity narratives.

  • Deliver customer-facing demos, workshops, and presentations that connect analytics capabilities to priorities such as compliance, payroll accuracy, labor cost visibility, and operational performance.

  • Translate analytics, benchmarks, and AI-driven insights into clear business outcomes, enabling faster decisions and stronger manager action.

  • Collaborate with Product, Services, Marketing, and Enablement teams to share field feedback and strengthen go-to-market readiness.

  • Represent Presales Reporting & Analytics at internal and external events, including Aspire, UKG Huddle, and other strategic customer programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, reporting/analytics consulting, business intelligence, or a related customer-facing role in enterprise software.

  • Strong hands-on experience with reporting and analytics platforms, including Cognos BI and Looker.

  • Experience supporting or demonstrating analytics solutions within UKG Pro, including People Analytics, Workforce Intelligence Hub, and Data Warehousing; familiarity with Pro WFM Data Hub or workforce data models.

  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills across executive, technical, and end-user audiences.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate customer needs into solution recommendations and value-based narratives.

  • Experience in HCM, Payroll, Workforce Management, or adjacent workforce technology domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise sales opportunities in a consultative, solution-based sales cycle.

  • Experience designing dashboards, KPI frameworks, and analytics use cases across HCM, Payroll, or WFM.

  • Familiarity with standard reporting, custom report authoring, data exports, APIs, or adjacent BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and remain calm and effective in fast-moving, high-visibility environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
