Job description

  1. About the Opportunity: The Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition is responsible for managing data collection to support AI model training. This role plays a key part in building extensive, high-quality datasets by integrating infrastructure, engineering, and research efforts. The position focuses on scaling data ingestion efficiently and collaborating with AI scientists and leadership to advance data capabilities that power next-generation consumer and enterprise products., * Identify and acquire new audio data sources for ingestion
  • Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform
  • Collaborate with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and quality of data collection
  • Work with the AI team and leadership to develop the dataset roadmap for future products

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency with bash and Python scripting in Linux environments
  • Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and a major cloud provider, preferably GCP
  • Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data workflows is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  1. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • The United States base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000 plus bonus and equity, depending on experience
