Job description

We are seeking a Cloud / App Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience supporting AWS and Azure environments and production support skills. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of cloud-hosted applications and data platforms, while partnering closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams. The ideal candidate is technically strong, operationally disciplined, and comfortable working in 24x7 production supportenvironments , including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

KeyResponsibilities:

CloudPlatform Support (AWS & Azure)

  • Provide Level2 / Level 3 support for applications and infrastructure hostedon AWS and Azure
  • Monitor cloudenvironments for availability, performance, cost, and security
  • Support andtroubleshoot services such as:
  • AWS: EC2, S3, RDS,Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch
  • Azure: VirtualMachines, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Monitor
  • Assist with cloudresource provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management
  • Participate in incidentmanagement , on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews (RCA)

Operations& Reliability:

  • Monitor applicationand database health using logging and monitoring tools
  • Analyze trends andproactively address performance and stability risks
  • Document supportprocedures, runbooks, and known issues
  • Support releasedeployments and environment changes
  • Ensure adherence tosecurity, compliance, and operational standards

SQLDevelopment & Database Support:

  • Develop, optimize, andmaintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
  • Support productiondatabases, including:
  • Data validation, datafixes, and issue resolution
  • Backup, restore, andrecovery support
  • Collaborate withapplication teams to troubleshoot data-related issues

Requirements

  • Python or Shellscripting is preferred

Collaboration& Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely withdevelopment, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
  • Identify opportunitiesfor automation and operational efficiency
  • Contribute toimproving system resilience, scalability, and supportability

RequiredQualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in application or cloudsupport roles
  • Strong hands-onexperience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
  • SQL developmentexperience (T-SQL orequivalent)
  • Experiencesupporting production systems in enterprise environments
  • Strong troubleshootingand root cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with ITILprocesses (incident, problem, change management)
  • Ability to work inon-call and support rotations
  • Strong communicationskills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experience withhealthcare, regulated, or high-availability environments
  • Exposure to DevOpstools and practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code)
  • Experience withmonitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, etc.)
  • Knowledge of scripting(PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Cloud certifications(AWS, Azure) are a plus
