Job description

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced healthcare technology environments, enjoys solving complex operational and workflow challenges, and wants to play a meaningful role in advancing the future of patient-centered healthcare delivery.

As part of this team, you will help healthcare organizations modernize and optimize digital patient engagement capabilities including patient portals, online scheduling, secure communications, telehealth integration, eCheck-in, patient education tools, and next-generation AI-enabled healthcare experiences.

You will partner directly with healthcare executives, clinical stakeholders, operational leaders, and technical teams to drive implementation success, improve adoption, optimize workflows, and help shape long-term modernization strategies.

This position will initially support modernization and acceleration initiatives aligned to Oracle Health's VA modernization strategy and will contribute to establishing scalable operational models, implementation readiness, and sustainable long-term support frameworks across highly visible healthcare transformation programs.

What You'll Do:

Client Leadership & Strategic Consulting

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients throughout implementation, optimization, and modernization initiatives

  • Lead discovery sessions, workflow assessments, and strategic design conversations focused on patient engagement and digital access solutions

  • Translate complex operational and technical requirements into scalable patient-centered solutions

  • Provide strategic recommendations aligned with healthcare transformation goals, operational efficiency initiatives, and patient experience strategies

  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, clinical leaders, operational teams, and IT organizations

Implementation & Modernization Leadership

  • Lead implementation and configuration activities supporting Oracle Health Gen 2 modernization initiatives and patient engagement platforms

  • Support deployment and optimization of:

  • Online scheduling

  • Secure patient messaging

  • Results and clinical documentation access

  • eCheck-in and registration workflows

  • Patient education tools

  • Telehealth integration

  • Proxy access and consent management

  • Identify workflow optimization opportunities, process improvements, and strategies to increase patient adoption and engagement

  • Support interoperability and integration efforts between patient portal technologies and Oracle Health / EHR systems

  • Contribute to modernization readiness activities supporting future VA-focused deployment strategies

Program Delivery & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Manage or support multiple client engagements and project deliverables simultaneously

  • Coordinate across consulting, technical, operational, interface, training, and project management teams

  • Lead testing activities, issue resolution efforts, go-live planning, and post-production stabilization support

  • Track project risks, dependencies, timelines, and escalations while helping ensure successful delivery outcomes

  • Contribute to operational governance, implementation scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives

Training, Adoption & Change Management

  • Develop and deliver client training programs, workflow documentation, operational readiness materials, and adoption strategies

  • Support organizational change management initiatives focused on provider and patient adoption

  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization

  • Help healthcare organizations successfully navigate digital transformation and modernization efforts

Compliance, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure solutions align with HIPAA, healthcare privacy standards, and organizational security policies

  • Maintain expertise in healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and evolving digital health technologies

  • Stay current on patient engagement trends, AI-enabled healthcare innovations, and Oracle Health product enhancements

  • Contribute to internal best practices, operational process improvement, and modernization strategies, This role directly supports Oracle Health's VA Modernization Strategy efforts and broader healthcare transformation initiatives. The consultant will help healthcare organizations accelerate adoption of modernized Oracle Health software solutions while supporting implementation readiness, operational continuity, optimization, and long-term sustainment efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong healthcare consulting or healthcare IT experience

  • Experience implementing or supporting patient portal technologies and digital engagement solutions

  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, patient access operations, and patient communication processes

  • Ability to lead conversations across both technical and operational stakeholders

  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and fast-moving environments

  • Experience balancing multiple priorities while maintaining strong customer focus and delivery execution

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5+ years of healthcare consulting, healthcare IT, or patient engagement solution experience

  • Experience implementing or supporting patient portal technologies within healthcare organizations

  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, patient access, and communication processes

  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and integrations (HL7, FHIR, APIs)

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced client environments

  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Health / Cerner Millennium solutions strongly preferred

  • Experience with digital health, patient engagement, or consumer healthcare platforms

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare privacy, and security requirements

  • Project management experience or certification preferred

  • Experience supporting large health systems or enterprise healthcare organizations

  • Experience supporting healthcare modernization or transformation initiatives preferred

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from $25.48 to $60.63 per hour; from: $53,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
