Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake AI Engineer to support a State client in designing, developing, and optimizing modern AI and data solutions on the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Snowflake, AI/ML integration, cloud data engineering, and scalable data architecture. This role involves building intelligent data pipelines, enabling AI-driven analytics, and supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives., * Design and develop scalable data solutions using Snowflake.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
- Integrate AI/ML models and GenAI capabilities with Snowflake environments.
- Develop data ingestion frameworks using Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled analytics solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, security, governance, and cost management.
- Implement data orchestration and automation workflows.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AI/data engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with State data security and governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake development and administration.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI solutions with enterprise data platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of data modeling, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, ADF, or similar.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and AI/ML frameworks is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
