As our new System Engineering Specialist - HVAC Controls , you will shape scalable and robust control solutions that improve HVAC performance, energy efficiency, and reliability across a wide range of applications.
You will sit at the intersection of application expertise and software development, translating real system needs into clear architectures and control concepts that accelerate development and increase customer value.
Your work will directly support customers and OEMs in delivering better comfort and lower carbon emissions, contributing to Danfoss' ambition for sustainable heating and cooling.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop modular HVAC control architectures that can be reused across applications, improving development speed and solution consistency.
Translate system and application needs into clear software specifications , enabling efficient and high-quality implementation.
Define control concepts and system logic for thermal systems, ensuring predictable performance and reliability.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, virtual system solution teams, and regional sales and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements
- Experience working with HVAC thermal systems , within controls, applications, or system engineering.
- Strong system-level understanding of thermodynamics and HVAC behavior , such as heat pumps, chillers, or rooftop systems.
- Hands-on experience with engineering and simulation tools (for example Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink) and an interest in software-driven development.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear requirements and concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent English and confidence working in a global, cross-functional environment.
