Job description
At National Highways we're looking for a Network Occupancy Co-ordinator to join our team based in the East Region. Within the role, you will be supporting the decision making and co-ordination of all activities on the regional network as well as optimising the overall network availability and ensuring minimal disruption to customers. You will also be ensuring network occupancy is compliant with all National Highways governance & be aware of future activity demands requiring occupation of the network.

Action, analyse and coordinate all requests, notices and permits for network occupancy, including all internal and third party works on the network as the Works Receiver.

Providing feedback and guidance on requests, notices and permits for network occupancy.

Maintaining and overseeing the management of information in the Highways England Network Occupancy Management System and other associated systems in an accurate and timely manner.

To deliver timely and accurate engagement, communications and updates to stakeholders regarding network occupancy.

Proactively liaise with regional Operations colleagues (e.g. Service Delivery and Scheme Delivery) and wider internal and external stakeholders to optimise network availability and minimise the impact of planned and unplanned events on customers.
Requirements

Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act and New Road & Street Works Act (Desirable )

Good planning and organisational ability.

Proficient in MS Office application
