Job description

Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.

Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects.

Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and IT requirements.

Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.

Confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables with the customer.

Participate in business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement, and conversions.

Apply metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria.

Prepare system documentation.

Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents.

Analyze, identify and resolve business and technical problems using appropriate tools.

Participate in special studies and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

-An IT Specialist will install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment, including MS server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized IT systems.

-Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers. Integrate multiple information systems in a networked environment, evaluate and resolve customer information system problems, effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability.

-Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, server hardware and software, and ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network.

-Install, optimize and troubleshoot Local Area and Base Area Networks. Familiar with Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.

Non Negotiables 8570 Compliance Security+CE and Active Secret Clearance

1.) 5 Years of Experience Supporting, Imaging and Deploying End User Device Hardware

Education/Years' Experience:

Preferable (3-5) years of experience required.

B.S. in Technology related field

Certifications:

-CompTIA Security+ (Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level)

-Microsoft Desktop Administrator Administrator (MDAA) 6 month waiver can be granted

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pensacola, FL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.00/hr.
