Staff Software Engineer-AI Native Focus

You'll be the primary individual contributor on the platform rebuild, shipping production-ready NestJS domains at the throughput of a multi-person traditional team. This isn't a supporting role. The rebuild moves forward because you're on it.

You'll own full domains end-to-end: MikroORM entities, migrations, service and controller layers, state machines, business rules, tests, and production cutover. You'll also set the AI-native development standard for the team and co-own the hiring bar for the next engineer they bring on.

Responsibilities

• Ship production-ready NestJS domains end-to-end across a 12-month rebuild
• Own and maintain CLAUDE.md files, subagent patterns, and multi-session workflows
• Teach AI-native development practices across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
• Write clear ADRs, surface blockers proactively, and own implementation decisions within your domains
• Co-design and run technical evaluations for the next AI-native hire
• Fix legacy race conditions, security gaps, and data integrity issues by design, not by convention

• Strong NestJS background with full domain ownership experience (not just contributions)
• Proven AI-native development fluency - Claude Code, agentic workflows, prompt engineering as a discipline
• Experience migrating legacy systems with an understanding of why things were built the way they were
• Comfortable writing ADRs and technical documentation as the primary record of decisions
• Teaching mindset - you raise the level of the people around you
• US timezone overlap (async-first team, but overlap is required)

Nice to Have

• Experience with MikroORM, state machines, or RLS/row-level security implementations
• Background in SaaS platform rebuilds or greenfield-to-production migrations
