Job description

The Senior Digital Accounting Analyst at Crocs, Inc. leads key accounting and reporting activities for Crocs' Digital channel, ensuring accurate financial results, US GAAP compliance, and a strong controls environment. This role serves as a subject matter expert for digital sales and payment flows, partners closely with Digital Operations, FP&A, Treasury, and Finance Systems, and drives process improvements and issue resolution across high-volume, complex transactions., * Lead day-to-day accounting activities across Digital channel operations and own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned digital workstreams to ensure accurate and timely results.

  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations; provide guidance to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on variances and unusual transactions, driving cross-functional resolution and implement preventive controls.
  • Prepare and/or review reconciliations for digital payment processors and settlements, including fees, chargebacks, and timing differences.
  • Analyze refunds, returns, cancellations, discounts, and other digital adjustments to ensure appropriate accounting and clear variance explanations.
  • Own marketplace transactions by validating partner statements, commissions, and settlement activity and coordinating issue resolution with internal teams and third parties.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation for key processes and controls; serve as the point of contact/SME for digital accounting topics and stakeholder questions.
  • Support preparation of management reporting and financial analysis related to Digital channel performance.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Lead SOX compliance activities for assigned processes, including documentation, walkthroughs, and coordination of control testing and remediation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests for Digital accounting areas, owning deliverables, timelines, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Finance Systems, MDM and other business partners to support accurate and timely accounting and reporting

Requirements

Do you have a valid CPA license?, Do you have experience in Stakeholder management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (including month-end close ownership)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls
  • Experience with SAP and Blackline
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large, high-volume datasets; experience improving processes/controls and partnering with Finance Systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional workstreams, mentoring teammates, and communicating effectively with stakeholders while handling sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to digital platforms (e.g. Adyen, Rithum, Sales Force Commerce Cloud, etc.) and digital payment methods (credit cards, PayPal, Google pay, etc.).
  • Knowledge and/or awareness of global marketplaces (e.g. TikTok, Amazon, Zalando, Rakuten, etc.), and their integration with Accounting and Financial reporting.
