Job description
A fast-growing B2B SaaS startup in the AI-powered customer support space is looking for an AI & Backend Engineer to join a small, ambitious product and engineering team. You'll own end-to-end features across the full stack, shaping AI-powered capabilities and scaling architectures that power next-generation support agents. The company is SOC-2 Type 2 certified, GDPR compliant, and processes data in Europe., * Shape and implement full-stack product features from design through production.
- Develop and enhance AI-powered features, including agent pipelines and LLM integrations.
- Collaborate with the team to plan, design, and launch new capabilities.
- Help make internal workflows AI-native by identifying and building practical automations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Required
- 1-4 years of experience in backend or AI engineering (new graduates welcome).
- Proven track record shipping backend systems or AI features to production.
- Experience designing end-to-end architectures and building AI-powered data or model pipelines.
- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI models and prompt engineering.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Firestore (GCP).
- Personal or hobby projects involving LLMs or related AI topics.
Nice to Have
- Heavy user of AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor - with concrete ideas or demonstrated improvements to your AI coding workflow.
- Familiarity with Python, FastAPI, Next.js, React, TypeScript, Docker, or Kubernetes.
