Job description
In this role you will be part of the F126 organization and project management team. You will be responsible for the work package for the development of missile integration in the Combat Management System (CMS) and Fire Control Solution (FCS) of Thales for the frigate program F126.
You will operationally lead the missile software team, together with the Team Manager, consisting of 3 multidisciplinary development teams. Your teams are situated in Hengelo, the Netherlands. The disciplines in each team are System Engineers, Software Engineers and Test Engineers.
The work to be delivered consists of the integration of several missile and radar systems into our CMS and FCS. The teams work on a detailed level of system engineering, creating the needed software, testing the resulting components and do preliminary integration work. The goal is on time delivery of working components on quality and within budget towards our IVVQ teams.
You will work with the development teams and technical team leads to realize this multi-year product development and delivery effort.
In your role you are responsible for the timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality software integration components. You will make the best use of your team to achieve this and coordinate within the overall project management team and work alongside discipline managers., You will work with the following:
- Software development;
- Project management aspects: Budget, Scope, Schedule responsibilities; Earned Value Management; KPI-management; Reporting; Internal and external stakeholder management
- Jira, Confluence, Windchill
- Committed deadlines on project level as well as Scrum sprints;
- Excel/Office
- Primavera
- Polarion and other system engineering tooling
Requirements
- You are a (technical) project manager with recent experience in managing multi-team software development for real-time, safety critical systems.
- You know how to monitor performance against contractual obligations and project requirements and to manage relationships, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication.
- You are a team player with strong dedication to achieve common team goals. You have a clear sense of how to leverage your personality and experience to bring out the best in others and yourself;
- You have good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail at different levels;
- You have a "can-do" and "why-not-this" mentality: entrepreneurial, flexible and open mindset;
- You have a bachelor or master degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
- You have a good understanding of engineering processes.
