Job description

To support the effective coordination of street works activities on the public highway, ensuring all works are planned, monitored, and delivered in compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., New Roads and Street Works Act 1991) and council policies. The role aims to minimise disruption to road users while maintaining safety and efficiency across the road network., * Assist in the coordination and scheduling of utility and highway works across the network.

  • Maintain and update street works management systems (e.g., noticing systems such as Street Manager).
  • Review permit applications and notices submitted by utility companies and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, permit conditions, and council standards.

Requirements

Essential:
