Job description
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Associate Project Manager to join our Infrastructure and Engineering team. In this role, you will partner with System Administrators, Infrastructure Engineers, and Security teams to analyze workflows, gather project requirements, track project milestones, and ensure strict adherence to Change Control and compliance policies., Project Coordination & Execution
- Task & Timeline Management: Assist in defining project scope, developing timelines, tracking tasks, and driving infrastructure initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, hardware refreshes, security upgrades) to completion.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Organize meetings and facilitate seamless communication between Infrastructure Project Managers, Technical Leadership, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Scope & Cost Control: Monitor and document changes to project scope, schedules, and budgets, escalating potential risks to IT Management.
Process Analysis & Workflow Optimization
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with Systems and Security Engineers to translate technical infrastructure needs into clear, documented business and technical requirements.
- Efficiency Identification: Evaluate current operational workflows and identify opportunities to leverage automation (e.g., AI tools, low-code platforms) to streamline IT processes.
Governance, Change Control & Compliance
- Change Management: Ensure all modifications to production infrastructure, networks, data, and core applications are thoroughly reviewed, tested, and approved through the formal Change Control process.
- Documentation & Auditing: Author and maintain high-quality documentation for the internal Knowledge Base, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance/audit trails.
- Security First: Ensure all managed projects align strictly with corporate IT security policies, governance standards, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Junior PM, or Business Analyst role, specifically embedded within an IT Infrastructure, Operations, or Systems Engineering environment.
- Core Technical Familiarity: A foundational understanding of core infrastructure concepts (e.g., Networking, System Administration, Windows Server, Identity & Access Management, Cloud Services/AWS/Azure). You don't need to configure them, but you must have a familiarity with the language.
Technical Toolset
- PM Platforms: High proficiency with modern project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira/Confluence, Wrike, or Zoho Projects).
- Productivity: Advanced skills in MS Office 365, particularly Excel for budget tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications (Beneficial but not required)
- Automation & Low-Code: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to build dashboards and automate internal processes.
- AI & Innovation: Experience utilizing AI technologies/prompting for automated workflows, task generation, or documentation drafting.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) is a strong plus.
