Job description

CACI is searching for an Automation Data Integration Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and dedicated individuals supporting the FEMA Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) in Washington, D.C. or Mt. Weather, VA. Employees generally perform all work between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. EST, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays). However, due to disaster operations, there is the potential for 24/7 support being required. As an Automation Data Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of FEMA's information systems. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with IT system owners, stakeholders, and cybersecurity professionals to implement and maintain robust security controls. Your efforts will directly contribute to safeguarding FEMA's mission-critical systems and data., * Design and maintain cybersecurity automations, connectors, data pipelines, and dashboards that reduce manual effort and improve risk visibility across tools and workflows.

  • Perform Data Pipeline Automation by creating and managing end-to-end pipelines that ingest data from diverse sources (APIs, databases, IoT) and deliver it to data warehouses or lakes.
  • Perform ETL/ELT Optimization by automating the extraction, transformation, and loading process to ensure data is clean, standardized, and ready for analysis.
  • Perform Data Quality & Observability by implementing automated tests, anomaly detection, and real-time alerts to validate data integrity and identify issues.
  • Perform Workflow Orchestration by scheduling and managing dependencies for data jobs using tools like Apache Airflow or Prefect.
  • Perform System Reliability & Maintenance by building self-healing pipelines that can automatically retry failed tasks and scale resources based on demand.
  • Perform Data Cleansing & Validation by running automated scripts to detect data anomalies, impute missing values, or mask sensitive information.
  • Perform CI/CD Integration by implementing continuous integration and deployment for data pipelines.

Requirements

Required:

  • Current active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • FEMA EOD suitability or Current DHS or FEMA EOD preferred
  • BS/BA + 15 years of applicable experience (or equivalent)
  • Must have one of the following Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III qualifications:
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
  • Or other applicable IAT or IAM cyber security professional certifications
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.

Desired:

  • Previous DHS or DoD experience.
  • Experience with cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $105,100-$231,100
