Job description
Design protective solutions leveraging security expertise, balancing security & innovation. Guide teams, anticipate trends, and secure business initiatives.
As an Information Security Architect, you will leverage expertise in one or more security domains such as network security, security engineering, identity and access management, security operations, and others, as well as having a broad understanding of Information Security to design protective solutions for the business, balancing security with innovation. You will consider the impact on business and IT processes, meet regulatory requirements, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver optimal security solutions. You will work to secure business to business initiatives, third-party relationships, and outsourced solutions by providing effective security requirements. You will provide guidance on current security issues to technical teams and leaders throughout the organization, anticipate industry trends, and immerse yourself in understanding the nuances of the insurance industry to tailor innovative solutions to safeguard the business.
This position will be located at our Stevens Point, WI office following the hybrid work model and is NOT available for remote work.
What You'll Do
- Leverage adversarial thinking and maintain awareness of the latest security trends and attacker techniques, the threats posed by them, their risk to Sentry systems, and the controls and compliance measures needed to mitigate these risks within areas of expertise.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify security threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures, leveraging knowledge of Sentry systems, protection needs, and requirements.
- Collaborate with IT to integrate security controls into infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews to validate the effectiveness of security controls and procedures.
- Communicate security risks facing the enterprise to leadership throughout IT and the business with guidance and support from security leadership.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure that acquired or developed systems and architectures within areas of expertise meet security requirements.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist with developing security standards as directed by leadership.
- Mentor security engineers and analysts.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Degree in Information Security or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience
