Sr. Data Engineer

A client in the entertainment industry team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the design, development, enhancement, and implementation of data systems that power multiple analytical applications. This role focuses on a wide range of data engineering activities, including maintaining and improving data acquisition processes, implementing data validation frameworks, building and monitoring ETL/ELT pipelines, and supporting overall process monitoring and notification capabilities to ensure reliable data delivery. In this role, work assignments may include collaborating on data requirements gathering, creating source to target mappings, developing and reviewing data validation scripts, and producing high quality datasets that serve as inputs for data science models and analytical visualizations. As a member of the data engineering team, the engineer will participate in technical reviews to help ensure solutions meet established quality, performance, and reliability standards.

*5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python, including 2+ years working with streaming or pipeline frameworks such as Apache Flink, Beam, or Kafka Streams

*Strong understanding of database design and data modeling, with experience using platforms such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake

*Experience developing and deploying solutions across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod) with established DevOps practices for code promotion and release management

*Proficiency managing and deploying code through source control systems such as GitHub or GitLab

*Ability to partner with business stakeholders by applying domain knowledge to refine data requirements and design effective data solutions.

*Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• BS in any STEM field
