Job description
A client in the entertainment industry is seeking a Senior Software Developer to add to their Orlando, FL team. The engineer will develop and enhance scalable applications, including web-based user interfaces, RESTful APIs, and data-driven services that enable internal stakeholders to effectively manage and analyze decision science workflows. This individual collaborates closely with Product Managers to define requirements, prioritize features, and execute development plans, while also working alongside Data Scientists to translate complex model inputs and outputs into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. In partnership with Data Engineers, they help design and implement efficient data storage, retrieval, and archival strategies. The role also involves driving innovation by researching and implementing new approaches to solve complex front-end challenges, as well as creating and proposing user experience concepts-such as workflows, wireframes, and mockups-that align with business needs. Working hours are 8:00-5:00, M-F and will be fully in-person for the first month, turning hybrid afterwards.
Requirements
*5+years of experience in software development *5+ years of front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript *2+ years of experience with Python *Expertise in React *Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks *Experience with TypeScript *Experience building application pages and services that process large and complex volumes of data with various databases and data warehouses such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake
