Job description
Systems Administrator to support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) program. The selected candidate will provide systems administration support across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security compliance, and operational performance within a mission-focused environment., * Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability across enterprise infrastructure
- Implement security updates, patches, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with IAVM directives
- Develop and maintain automation using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, or PowerShell
- Support system hardening, security compliance, and vulnerability scanning activities
- Manage backup and recovery operations for enterprise systems
- Support hardware installation, system upgrades, and firmware updates
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams supporting networking, storage, and DevOps platforms
Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Active Secret Clearance required

Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field

Experience with Systems Administration for Windows or Linux Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)

Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.

Knowledge of IAVM's and addressing software vulnerabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)
- Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
- Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
- Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
- Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
- Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
