Job description
Insight Global is seeking an IoT Engineer with hands-on experience connecting operational technologies (OT) with information technology (IT) to enable real-time data collection from industrial machines. This person will design, implement, and maintain IoT solutions that collect, process, and transmit data from manufacturing machines and industrial equipment. It will bridge OT and IT environments by integrating PLCs, sensors, controllers, and legacy machines with modern cloud platforms. Deploy and manage Azure IoT services, including IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Device Provisioning Service, and related components.
Requirements
5+ years of experience integrating industrial machines or OT systems with IT/cloud environments. Hands-on experience with Azure IoT (IoT Hub, IoT Edge, DPS, Time Series Insights, or related services). Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, controllers, and machine-level data acquisition.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in related field Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, C#, Node.js, PowerShell).
