Job description
As a Scrum Master, you'll lead a subset of engineering activities for the AN/TPY-2 Programs. Your responsibilities include:
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand-ups).
- Managing and verifying the product backlog.
- Tracking Agile metrics and identifying/resolving impediments.
- Analyzing performance data and automating workflows using MATLAB.
- Overseeing key team activities, including:
- Threat evaluation and system performance assessments.
- Mission planning, radar input creation, and test event support.
- Mentoring team members, removing roadblocks, and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders.
- Supporting proposal efforts and managing team financial planning.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience supporting technical efforts.
- Experience in overseeing and/or monitoring technical cost and schedule performance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.
- Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs.
- Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Experience with Mission Planning activities.
- Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staff planning.
- Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).
- Agile Scrum methodologies and related practices.
- Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Engineering, Math, Physics, or Business.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
