Job description
- Design, build, andmaintainbackend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, etc.) deployed in AWS.- Develop and operate microservices that integrate with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch.- Collaborate with application teams, Platform, and delivery partners to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-optimized integration solutions.- Write andmaintainautomated unit and integration tests;participatein thorough code reviews.- Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.-Participatein Agile ceremonies, contribute technical insights, and provide clear effort estimates.- Troubleshoot cloud workloads andoptimizeservices for performance, scalability, and compliance.

Experience:
6 + years of related experience, * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6-8 years of professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong production experience with AWS, including deploying,monitoring, and supporting cloud-based applications.
- Proficiencywith key AWS services, such as:Lambda,API Gateway,RDS,S3,CloudWatch,SNS/SQS,IAM
- Solid understanding of cloud-native design patterns, microservices architecture, and REST API design.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Git-based version control.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code following secure coding best practices.
- Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Public Trust clearance., * Experience withFastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.
- Familiarity with container tools (Docker, ECS) and CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Exposure to serverless and event-driven architecture patterns on AWS.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
- Knowledge of federal development standards and compliance requirements (e.g., 508, NIST 800-53).

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
