Job description

You will join u-blox's growing high-precision Positioning Services team, contributing to the development of services and platforms that power industrial robotics, autonomous systems, and precision applications worldwide.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop and support Java/AWS solutions across a variety of components and applications. You'll work closely with experienced engineers in a low-hierarchy, collaborative, and supportive environment.

This role gives you the ownership and support to take your skills to the next level., Location: This role is home-based (must be UK resident) with occasional travel to the Bournemouth office as required for team meetings., * Development of our core platform and cloud services

  • Assuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met in the supported areas
  • Working in cloud data stores to include S3, DynamoDB and/or Amazon RDS
  • Performing test automation in a test-driven development environment
  • Implementing DevOps concepts, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Implementing instrumentation to gather business-specific metrics around consumer usage patterns, * A multicultural and international company with over 50 different nationalities

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering or Equivalent
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience Developing with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience of direct design and programming with Java/SQL/REST on Linux platforms
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and administering solutions using ETL, Business Intelligence tools and emerging technologies
  • Experience in developing/deploying solutions to AWS Cloud (S3, SQS, Dynamo DB and other AWS modules)
  • Experience within the IOT domain a distinct advantage
