At Charles Schwab, you'll do meaningful work that creates a positive impact for clients and colleagues alike. As part of the Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Technology organization within Schwab Technology Services, this role supports critical middle- and back-office applications that enable Schwab Asset Management, Wealth & Advice Solutions, the Schwab Center for Financial Research, and Third-Party Platform teams.
In this business-facing role, you'll partner closely with technology, business, and vendor teams to ensure stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of production applications. You'll bring a problem-solving mindset, take ownership of issues end to end, and contribute to operational excellence across production support and change management.
What You'll Do
- Proactively monitor, detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting production applications.
- Own and manage escalated incidents through resolution or workaround.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders during incidents.
- Support production change and operational readiness standards.
- Partner with development teams to ensure production readiness.
- Maintain support documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in application production support
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments
- Knowledge of the asset management industry
- Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Informatica ETL and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Snowflake
- Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M or AutoSys
- Experience with Snowflake and data virtualization platforms
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and Foglight
- Exposure to GitHub
