Job description
Do you thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments where technology and service excellence come together? As a Conference Technology Specialist II, you'll be the front line of white glove conference technology support within the Conference Center, supporting critical meetings, depositions, virtual trials, hearings, and large scale events.
In this role, you'll lead by example, anticipate technical needs before issues arise, and translate complex audiovisual (AV) technology into seamless, user friendly experiences. You'll also collaborate closely with conference teams and technology partners firmwide to ensure every room, system, and meeting runs flawlessly.
Monday-Friday (8am-4pm)
Deliver White Glove Support: Respond promptly and professionally to technical requests, maintaining composure and service excellence in high pressure situations. Ensure Meeting Readiness: Set up, operate, and monitor conference room technology to support meetings, events, and virtual proceedings from start to finish. Operate Advanced AV Systems: Support live event AV productions, troubleshooting complex issues in real time to ensure uninterrupted experiences. Partner with Meeting Hosts: Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and conference teams to understand objectives and align the right technical solutions, clearly explaining technology to non technical users. Support Unified Communications: Configure, operate, and troubleshoot platforms such as Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting, Zoom Meetings/Webinars, and Microsoft Teams. Maintain Rooms & Systems: Perform enhanced testing and preventative maintenance to ensure all conference technology is fully functional before use. Improve Processes & Documentation: Maintain equipment inventories and update local and firmwide documentation, processes, and procedures. Collaborate Firmwide: Partner with Conference Technology teams across offices and respond to Service Desk tickets to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
Education or Equivalent Experience: Advanced AV technical training or equivalent hands on experience supporting high level events in a fast paced environment. Relevant Experience: 5-7 years of professional audio visual (AV) experience in a conference center or similar setting. Technical Credentials: AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification. Customer Service Mindset: A strong commitment to delivering exceptional, anticipatory service and exceeding client expectations. Communication & Problem Solving: Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot quickly and exercise sound judgment. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Cisco codecs and configurations, Crestron systems, Q SYS audio, and the ability to read AV drawings for tier one troubleshooting; general proficiency with Microsoft Outlook 365 and Microsoft Office applications. Presentation & Post Production Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Premiere for video editing and presentation support. Adaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to stay current with evolving AV technologies; ability to lift up to 30 pounds, move throughout the workplace, and adjust hours as needed, including occasional weekends.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in New York. Compensation Range:
New York: $76,000 - $105,000
