Job description
- Responsible for understanding, disseminating and adopting Enterprise Data Management requirements for Data that resides in each function source system and/or data assets.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into data assets through provisioning to Data Output Owners and Data Consumers.
- Applies a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the organization or within a specific business unit.
- Be able to set the standards for fit for use when applying data into business decisions. Drives data stewardship and other relevant data accountability structures across business and technology organizations to ensure data is effectively managed.
- Drives organizational change as necessary to implement data frameworks, processes, controls, etc. across the organization or within a given business unit.
- Defines or supports others in the definition and on-going maintenance/management of data.
- Drives out the identification and mitigation of data issues as necessary to support organization priorities.
- Identifies and champions the implementation of data process and practice improvements., * Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Charlotte, NC. Must be available to travel to Charlotte, NC regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours notice.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with a technical focus.
- Must have 6 years of progressive experience in Analyst or IT Consulting positions performing/utilizing the following:
- In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the data management and data governance discipline.
- Adhering to data management practices including data change management and demand management
- Working in Data Warehouse, ETL, and Business Intelligence projects within the financial industry
- ETL design and architectural-based solutions
- Managing small data projects.
- Knowledge of the financial industry's competitive landscape and data best practices.
- Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.
- Utilizing experience with: SQL, Unix, Linux, ORACLE DB; ETL -Ab Initio Architectural and Administrative Task; Ab Initio Control Center Scheduler; Ab Initio Enterprise Metadata Environment for Data Lineage; Waterfall SDLC and/or Agile/Lean methodologies; Root cause analysis for critical data issues; Microsoft Office software products; Data Management; and Banking and Credit Card Payment Processing Systems.
