Job description
Enterprise Technical Architect - Applications, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Erlanger, KY. Develop the technical design of application solutions, including cloud-native architectures. Define solution requirements and create conceptual, high-level, and low-level design artifacts. Support the Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) and review solutions to ensure alignment with design and architectural requirements. Research, experiment, and prototype new cloud application services. Develop and maintain technical and architectural standards. Ensure adherence to defined architecture guidelines throughout the application development lifecycle. Provide guidance and technical coaching to developers as part of the Architecture Services Organization. Utilize subject matter expertise to design, develop, and implement technical architectures in alignment with Enterprise Architecture direction and standards. Stay current with industry trends and leverage this knowledge to inform IT and business stakeholders on opportunities to improve target architectures and support strategic decision-making. Support IT enterprise governance functions, including RFIs, vendor risk assessments, and related evaluations.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Information Systems, Engineering (any), Business, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor's, progressive, related work experience.
Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

Building solutions using modern application design patterns including serverless applications, containerized applications, SOA applications, web service applications, and RESTful patterned applications;

Information Technology technical design;

Application development using Microsoft development platforms;

Generating conceptual and high-level architecture design artifacts;

Conducting design and architecture reviews;

Network architecture, Modern integration architectures, Security architecture, and Identity management;

Developing cloud solutions using Azure services such as App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Application Gateway, Logic Apps, Container Apps, and Azure Service Bus;

Containerization using Docker and orchestration platforms;

Source Code Management tools such as Git, GitHub, SVN, or Gitlab; and
-
Relational and NoSQL database such as SQL Server or Cosmos DB.
Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
