Job description

A client of Insight Global's is looking to hire a Jr System Administrator to provide senior level administration, governance, and technical leadership across Microsoft 365 with a focus on both Exchange Online and collaboration platforms including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Day to day, this individual will manage mail flow, messaging security, and delivery workflows end to end, while also owning collaboration governance, lifecycle policies, and user adoption strategies across Teams and SharePoint. They will partner closely with security, service transition teams, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot complex messaging issues, support acquisitions and tenant integrations, and implement scalable standards for collaboration environments. This role will act as an escalation point, balancing project based improvements (governance, automation, and platform maturity) with hands on support, while also building documentation and improving the overall user experience across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands on experience administering Microsoft 365 or comparable enterprise collaboration platforms
  • Proven experience managing and supporting Exchange Online in a production environment (mail flow, transport rules, routing, troubleshooting)
  • Strong hands on experience administering Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive (policies, governance, lifecycle management)
  • Experience with email security and delivery (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, secure mail gateways, message trace and troubleshooting)
  • Experience scripting (PowerShell) to support automation, reporting, and administration across Exchange and M365
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Experience administering M365 Copilot (readiness, access, and support across collaboration workloads)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview (retention, DLP, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery)
  • Experience with Entra ID or identity adjacent services (group lifecycle, access, authentication policies)
  • Experience with Azure Communication Services or automated messaging/reporting workflows
  • Experience supporting large enterprise environments (10,000+ users, multi-domain, M&A activity)
