Job description
We are seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to support a large-scale utility data initiative focused on improving substation and vault data accuracy. This role is heavily data entry-driven and will play a key part in validating asset information captured through 3D scanning and imaging efforts. The goal is to ensure field teams have immediate access to accurate, real-time data across thousands of utility assets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform high-volume data entry and validation of utility asset data related to substations and vaults Manually verify that system "tags" correctly align with data collected from substations and associated equipment Review and confirm data captured through 3D scanning and imaging technology to ensure accuracy and completeness Cross-reference asset information across multiple data sources and systems to maintain consistency Support ongoing inventory and documentation efforts across approximately 2,500 substations and 500 vaults Participate in quality control processes to identify discrepancies, incomplete records, or mismatched data Maintain organized records to support real-time access for field technicians and operational teams
Requirements
Strong professionalism and communication ability -Intermediate knowledge with Excel and Microsoft products -Experience with data analysis or data entry in either a collegiate or professional setting -able to be in-person in BHM for 3 days a week
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Scripting experience (SQL, ETL, etc.) -Knowledge of Databricks -JIRA experience
