Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Advisor to join our Production and Measurement Systems team. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing critical measurement and production systems, with a primary focus on FlowCal, Detechtion, and related integrations. In this position, you will provide hands-on support to end users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues across applications and integrations, while ensuring high system availability and responsiveness, including support for critical issues outside of standard business hours when needed. You will design, develop, and maintain custom solutions, working closely with third-party vendors to address system challenges and implement enhancements. The role involves developing and maintaining automation through batch scripting and PowerShell, as well as building and supporting SSIS packages for system integrations and data workflows. You will leverage SQL Server and Oracle to support data management, reporting, and integration needs, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve system performance, automation, and processes, including the responsible use of AI-enabled tools. You will also play a key role in supporting audits and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards, participating in IT projects across the full lifecycle from design through deployment, and maintaining clear communication with business and operations teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge articles, and best practices to support long-term system reliability and team efficiency. Pay Rate: $70-$85 per hour (based on years of experience)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

7+ years of relevant IT experience

Strong hands-on experience with FlowCal and Detechtion systems

Proficiency in Python scripting and SSIS development

Strong experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases

Experience supporting system integrations and enterprise applications

Familiarity with infrastructure across development and production environments (AWS experience preferred)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Practical experience using AI tools in a technical environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or similar cloud credentials

Experience with Crystal Reports development and support

Exposure to AI-enabled automation or scripting

Experience with industrial automation platforms such as Cygnet, TopServer, or PI

Relevant certifications in IT support, databases, or related areas

Experience in the oil and gas industry or similar industrial environments
