Job description
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge of hardware, cabling, and operational procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient data center operations., * Prepare, stage, set up, and perform equipment startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, servers, drives, switches) following documented procedures, checklists, and deployment guidelines
- Perform post-deployment quality checks to verify proper grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling in accordance with safety standards and Network Design Tasks (NDTs)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and replace faulty components using established processes
- Execute hardware decommissioning and lifecycle activities (e.g., upgrades, replacements, OS rebuilds) with minimal supervision
- Follow established communication, reporting, and escalation procedures; promptly escalate issues to Data Center Technician Leads as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for deployments, incidents, and changes
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and associated components
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must hold an active Master Electrician license in the state of Wyoming
Preferred Qualifications

Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
