AI Platform Engineer - AI/ML

The role involves supporting the development and operation of machine learning and AI platforms in a contract position located in Madison, WI. Responsibilities include implementing training and inference pipelines, managing model artifacts, and ensuring scalable operation of AI workloads. Familiarity with generic programming languages and cloud services is required., Implement and maintain machine learning workflows, including data ingestion and experiment execution. Support pipelines by integrating embedding generation and document retrieval workflows. Develop foundational orchestration components and contribute to artifact versioning processes. Deploy predictive models into serving environments and ensure runtime monitoring. Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to utilize compute, storage, and CI/CD capabilities.

Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in engineering roles supporting AI workloads. Experience with generic programming languages and machine learning frameworks. Familiarity with concepts related to embeddings or vector search systems. Experience with automation and containerization.
