Job description

Perform rack and stack of servers, storage, and network equipment

Install and validate structured cabling including fiber and copper

Install and verify power connections including PDUs and redundant feeds

Support advanced cooling implementations including airflow management and liquid cooling systems

Perform initial system bring up including OS installs, hardware checks, and basic configurations

Validate installations through testing, audits, and quality checks

Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve or escalate as needed

Guide and support junior technicians on best practices

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Installation Technician Level 1 and 2 to support large scale data center buildouts. This is a hands on role focused on rack installation, cabling, power distribution, and advanced cooling systems within a high performance environment. This position also includes system bring up and validation, along with mentoring junior technicians on site., Hands on experience in data center installations or similar technical environments

Strong understanding of rack infrastructure, servers, storage, and networking hardware

Experience with structured cabling and proper cable management standards

Knowledge of power distribution concepts within racks including redundancy

Familiarity with cooling systems including airflow management and liquid cooling preferred

Experience with system deployment tasks such as OS imaging and hardware validation

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Ability to work independently and lead portions of projects

Understanding of safety standards within a data center environment

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado City, TX. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
