Job description

The contractor shall establish and maintain metadata governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with DoD data management policies and interoperability with Data Catalog.

The contractor shall develop automated metadata tagging processes to improve data discoverability, classification, and lineage tracking within the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) platform.

The contractor shall implement and manage data governance workflows, ensuring integration with OpenLineage, Unity Catalog, and GIS metadata standards.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration.

Knowledge and capability to develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring metadata consistency, lineage tracking, and interoperability between Data Lake, ESRI Kubernetes environments, and external data sources.

Personnel must be proficient in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), schema alignment, and governance best practices.

Expertise in geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies is required.

Demonstrated experience in: Implementing metadata governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.

Tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization across a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories.

Utilizing OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar tools for metadata and data lineage management.

Enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets, Certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certification.
