Job description
We are seeking an IT Project Manager to support our campus dining operations at Binghamton University. This role is responsible for the planning, administration, and day-to-day support of IT systems and POS environments across a multi-unit dining account. This position plays a key role in ensuring reliable system performance, effective troubleshooting, and seamless integration between technology platforms, enabling operational and financial success., POS Systems Management

Administer, configure, and optimize POS systems

Troubleshoot software and hardware issues

Oversee installation, upgrades, and maintenance of POS equipment

Manage support requests and escalate issues as needed
IT Infrastructure & Systems

Maintain and audit IT systems and integrations with university platforms

Monitor system performance and ensure operational stability

Support mobile ordering platforms (e.g., BOOST)
Technical Support

Provide first- and second-level technical support for IT and POS systems

Partner with vendors to resolve issues and improve system functionality

Generate reports to support financial analysis and operational insights
Requirements
-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field OR 3+ years of relevant IT experience

Experience supporting POS systems (hardware and software)

Working knowledge of networking systems and infrastructure

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint

Experience with troubleshooting tools and command-line environments

Familiarity with AWS, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
Preferred Experience

Hospitality or food service industry experience

Exposure to mobile ordering or retail technologies
