Job description
The Cloud Systems Administrator ensures high availability and optimal performance of Windows Server environments by overseeing the installation, maintenance, upgrades, and patching of all server systems. Monitors and analyzes server performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain continuity across onpremises and cloud infrastructures. Manages enterprisewide email systems, including administration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle maintenance. Supports organizational growth by assisting with email and Active Directory integrations during acquisitions, ensuring seamless identity, access, and messaging consolidation. Responsibilities Windows Server Lifecycle Management: Install, maintain, upgrade, and patch Windows Server 2016-2025 environments; ensure secure, stable, and compliant server operations.

Proactive Server Issue Resolution: Identify, investigate, and remediate potential issues before they impact availability; perform root cause analysis and implement long term fixes.

Email and O365 Troubleshooting: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to enterprise email, Microsoft 365 services, and server integrated messaging systems.

System Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor server and cloud system performance, health, and capacity; respond to alerts, incidents, and performance degradations.

Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Support AWS/Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform; assist with provisioning, automation, and cloud resource optimization.

Backup & Disaster Recovery Oversight: Ensure backup systems, replication, and disaster recovery solutions run optimally; monitor job success, test restores, and maintain DR readiness.

Active Directory & Core Services Administration: Manage and maintain AD, DHCP, DNS, GPOs, OU structure, and server builds; ensure identity and access services remain healthy and secure.

Knowledgebase Documentation: Create clear, actionable knowledgebase articles for Windows, security tools, and operational procedures to support Service Desk efficiency.

The wage range for this position is $92,700.00-$139,060.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with relevant work experience () or
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
Experience
- 3+ years Infrastructure or cloud experience (required)
- Work experience in a Hybrid cloud and enterprise-scale work environment a plus ()
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Windows Server Administration: Skilled in managing, maintaining, upgrading, and securing Windows Server 2016-2025 environments.
- Active Directory & Core Services: Proficient with AD, DHCP, DNS, GPOs, OU structure, and identity related infrastructure.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience supporting AWS and Azure environments, including cloud resource management and optimization.
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong IaC skills, preferably using PowerShell for automation, configuration, and provisioning.
- Exchange & O365 Administration: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across Exchange, Microsoft 365, and integrated messaging systems.
- Monitoring & High Availability: Knowledge of system monitoring, DR strategies, and high availability architectures for enterprise environments.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Skilled in maintaining backup systems, validating restore processes, and ensuring DR readiness.
- Analytical & Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and apply strong analytical reasoning to technical challenges.
- Terraform: Familiarity with Terraform for cloud automation and IaC workflows (considered a plus).
