Job description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Remote Cloud Network Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate will architect and lead hybrid and multi-cloud networking strategies, enabling seamless connectivity across on-premises data centers, Cisco infrastructure, and public cloud platforms. This role includes designing and implementing Cisco-based solutions (e.g., ACI, SD-WAN, Meraki, Nexus, Catalyst, Firepower) integrated with cloud-native services such as AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, and Google Cloud VPC. Responsibilities include developing secure, scalable networking architectures with a focus on traffic optimization, load balancing, and zero-trust principles, as well as leading network migration initiatives to cloud environments while ensuring minimal disruption. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement automation and monitoring solutions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide technical leadership, mentorship, and continuous evaluation of emerging technologies.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience

Deep expertise in Cisco technologies (CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred) - including routing/switching, SD-WAN, ACI, security, and automation

Hands-on experience with multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their native networking services

Strong knowledge of:
o Hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Interconnect, VPN, SD-WAN)
o Network security (firewalls, micro-segmentation, zero-trust, SASE)
o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Python)

Cloud networking fundamentals (VPCs, peering, transit, load balancing, DNS)

Public Trust Eligible * Experience supporting federal contracts
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: $65/hr. -- 83/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
