Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated New College Graduate Digital Hardware Design Electrical Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of airborne radar hardware for defense and aerospace applications. You will work closely with experienced engineers on Digital CCA Design Development, including block diagram designs, FPGA design, simulation, and hardware bring-up for cutting-edge technologies.
This position is ideal for candidates passionate about digital hardware, digital logic design, aerospace systems, radar technologies, and solving complex engineering challenges in multidisciplinary and collaborative teams.
What You Will Do:
- Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
- Develop firmware for FPGA-based systems
- Support FPGA prototyping, lab bring-up, and testing
- Integration and test of digital components and modules.
- Work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Firmware test requirements / specifications to determine hardware and firmware requirements.
- Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
- Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance., * Coursework or academic project experience in: Basic circuit design fundamentals, Digital logic design, Integrated Circuit / Microelectronics design, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) knowledge, FPGA coursework/projects
- Familiarity with one or more hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL
- ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Internship experience in hardware engineering
- Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects
- Experience using FPGA development boards or lab equipment
- Understanding of airborne or ruggedized hardware environments
- Hands-on lab/debug experience
- Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts within the electrical engineering fields and general knowledge of other related disciplines
- Familiarity with industry tools such as: Xilinx/AMD Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim or Questa, MATLAB/Simulink
- Exposure to: Radar systems or digital signal processing, High-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, JESD204, DDR), Embedded processors or SoC architecture, Xilinx FPGAs
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as: Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, Network Analyzers, DMM
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
