TASKS: Training in scientific programming with Python; Massive collection of satellite images and meteorological data; Calculation of IVs, soil moisture and agrometeorological indices; Application of Recurrence; Quantification Analysis (RQA) to time series and their correlations; Alarm design for adverse event situations in grasslands; Collaboration in articles for the dissemination of the obtained scientific results., The person hired will be integrated into the research team and will become familiar with the research, training and results transfer activities carried out at CEIGRAM. CEIGRAM, Research Centre for the Management of Agricultural and Environmental Risks, is one of the 21 research centres of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which is itself the best Spanish technological university. CEIGRAM is a centre of reference and knowledge generation to carry out research and develop methodologies to respond to the growing concern for risk management strategies, both productive, market and environmental, faced by the agricultural sector. Qualification: Degree in Agronomy, Environmental Sciences or Forestry sciences; Master in Agroenvironmental Technology for Sustainable Agriculture (TAPAS) or similar. Experience collaborating on research projects. Valid residence permit. Current residence in Spain.
