Mainframe Technical Application Manager

As Technical Application Manager responsible for multiple critical assets of the DAF Mainframe infrastructure DAF's Mainframe serves as the backbone of its IT landscape. All automation processes and data flows across departments such as Operations, Parts, Finance, and Logistics rely on the Mainframe. Together with your team, you are responsible for several critical components of the DAF Mainframe environment, MOVE 'Analyze and resolve incidents' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (1) MOVE 'Support mainframe departments' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (2) MOVE 'Manage interfaces' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (3) MOVE 'Develop Cobol solutions' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (4) MOVE 'Maintain Database' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (5) MOVE 'Modernize and Innovate Mainframe' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (6) MOVE 'Standby/on-call shifts' TO WS-ACTIVITIES (7) CONTINUE. 1. Analyze and resolve Mainframe incidents, 2)Provide support to departments for Mainframe-related inquiries and requests, 3)Manage interfaces related to file transfers and printing, 4)Develop COBOL solutions to enhance the our administration- and automation systems, ensuring alignment with Mainframe applications and processes, 5)Maintain and manage the Mainframe databases, 6)Contribute to innovation and modernization initiatives to improve accessibility, stability, and future readiness of the Mainframe, 7)Participate in standby/on-call shifts. Do you have experience in COBOL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Our team (Mainframe Services team) consists of 7 dedicated colleagues. Among us we have COBOL professionals based in India and an architect who focus on our strategic roadmap. While the remaining Technical Application Managers share similar roles and responsibilities. Our team has an agile mindset and prioritize all the tasks that need to be done. Due the setup of the team we can deliver value from end-to-end to our customers.

• You have a bachelor or master degree;
• You have affinity with IT and like to fuel innovation;
• You are interested to learn more about technical application management, database administration and Cobol software development;
• You are eager to improve your technical skillset and have the ambition to keep learning;
• You have a good sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude;
• You are fluent in English (Dutch is a Pré)
