Job description
You will be a key player in the Routing Department with one clear objective: creating the right balance between fair, efficient routes and cost optimization for our box and pick-up routes.
We are looking for a proactive specialist who naturally connects with colleagues and external partners, encourages knowledge sharing, and strengthens collaboration. You have the operational experience needed to handle complex daily logistics independently.
You combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on mindset. You're not afraid to step onto the floor to see how things work in practice, translate insights into action, and drive continuous improvements where they matter most. Crucially, you have excellent communication skills to maintain strong relationships with our partners, ensuring that we can stay agile and smoothly organize last-minute pick-up routes whenever needed.
️ Key Responsibilities
- Operational Ownership: Take the lead in executing the daily planning cycle, including box routes, pickups, and linehaul operations.
- Partner Management & Agility: Maintain excellent day-to-day contact with our transport partners. You are the driving force in coordinating and quickly organizing pick-up rides.
- Cost Optimization: Optimize daily pick-up, linehaul, and distribution operations using data-driven insights, ensuring our logistics remain both highly efficient and cost-effective.
- Process Improvement: Anticipate operational growth and bottlenecks in the Benelux region, and translate these insights into actionable, improved plans.
- Sustainability: Support our zero-emission targets by working closely with Tech to implement practical solutions tailored to the Dutch and Belgian markets.
- Test-and-Learn: Apply a "test-and-learn" mindset, actively running pilots and experiments to continuously improve our planning efficiency and execution.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * You're proactive, confident, and take initiative without hesitation.
- You have a flexible mindset and is not afraid of change
- You enjoy collaborating with others and thrive on delivering results.
- You're comfortable working with tools such as Google Sheets, Tableau, SQL, chat platforms, and other internal software.
- You have 2-3 years of experience in planning / logistics environment
- You have a HBO-level degree or higher
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
