Job description
We're looking for an organised and reliable IT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for all day-to-day IT queries, helping resolve technical issues, setting up equipment for new starters, and ensuring our staff have the tools they need to do their jobs effectively.
This position is essential in supporting the wider business and relieving pressure from our existing IT lead, allowing them to focus more on automation and project work., * Act as first-line support for all IT queries (hardware, software, connectivity, etc.)
- Set up and configure IT equipment for new starters (laptops, phones, software access)
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems for staff
- Liaise with external IT suppliers or escalate complex issues to the senior IT team
- Maintain asset registers and IT stock control
- Provide user-friendly guidance and support to team members of all IT abilities
- Ensure meeting rooms and office IT equipment (printers, routers, screens) are operational
- Keep accurate records of IT requests, fixes, and equipment issued
What Success Looks Like
- Promptly resolving IT issues
- Smooth setup of equipment for new starters
- Logging and escalating issues where necessary
- Maintaining a calm, helpful, and clear communication style
Requirements

Good knowledge of general IT systems (Windows OS, Office 365, internet connectivity)

Basic troubleshooting experience

Excellent communication skills

Organised, methodical, and approachable

Previous IT helpdesk or support experience

Experience setting up and managing company devices (laptops, mobile phones)

Familiarity with asset tracking software
