Job description
- Contribute to the development of telephony-related policies and procedures.Audit and review PSTN lines across multiple sites
- Identify, document and validate telephony location, usage and ownership
- Engage with site contacts, stakeholders and third-party suppliers
- Maintain accurate telecoms asset records and reporting
- Support migration, configuration and maintenance of IP telephony
- Perform basic networking tasks, patching and connectivity checks
- Configure and troubleshoot IP phones and related devices
- Identify opportunities to rationalise and optimise services
- Travel to sites to complete surveys and technical assessments
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Requirements
- An analytical mindset and attention to detail.Experience with PSTN, telephony or telecoms systems
- Understanding of IP telephony/VoIP technologies
- Relevant IT or telecommunications certifications (eg, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent).
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching)
- IP phone configuration and troubleshooting experience
- Strong documentation and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
