Cross Functional Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholder teams
- Coordinate activities across development, business, security, and operational teams
- Facilitate recurring project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications
- Drive collaboration and alignment across geographically dispersed teams
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
- Communicate project status, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders
- Prepare executive-level reporting with actionable insights and recommendations
- Ensure project priorities remain aligned with overall business objectives
Vendor Management
- Partner closely with third-party vendors to ensure delivery expectations are met
- Monitor vendor deliverables for quality, timeliness, and compliance with internal standards
- Assist vendors in navigating internal processes, approvals, and technical requirements
- Escalate and resolve delivery issues when necessary
Risk & Issue Management
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks
- Develop mitigation strategies and coordinate resolution efforts
- Escalate critical issues appropriately to leadership teams
- Maintain visibility into open issues and ensure timely follow-through
Documentation & Process Management
- Maintain organized and accurate project documentation
- Track project decisions, action items, and outcomes
- Ensure transparency across all workstreams and stakeholder groups
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes
Requirements
Gravity IT Resources is seeking an experienced, self-directed IT Project Manager to support a high-visibility initiative within a leading financial services organization. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination between an external vendor partner, internal software development teams, and multiple business and technology stakeholders.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, enterprise environments and has a strong ability to drive alignment, accountability, and execution across cross-functional teams. This role requires strong communication skills, vendor management experience, and a solid understanding of Agile delivery practices within large-scale IT organizations., * Proven experience managing complex IT projects within enterprise environments
- Experience working with external vendors or third-party technology partners
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across distributed environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within enterprise application and integration projects
- Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams, * PMP or related project management certification
- Experience within the insurance or financial services industry
- Familiarity with underwriting systems or underwriting operations
- Exposure to AI-related initiatives, tools, or software development concepts
- Experience supporting remote-first or geographically distributed teams
