Telecommunications Technician

TEKsystems is hiring a Telecommunications Technician to support projects in the Greater Nashville Area. This specific opportunity is help in Gallatin, TN. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience with the potential to move into a full-time role.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair telecom systems and equipment
• Run and work with Cat6 cabling
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues
• Set up and configure telecom devices (routers, switches, etc.)
• Provide basic technical support to users
• Keep track of equipment and work completed
• Follow safety guidelines and industry standards
• Work with team members to complete projects efficiently

• High school diploma or equivalent (certifications are a plus)
• Interest or experience in telecommunications or IT
• Basic knowledge of:

• Cabling (Cat6 preferred)
• Routers, switches, and networking basics
• VoIP or phone systems (nice to have, not required)

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Punctual and detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
