GCP Cloud Architect

We are seeking a hands-on GCP Cloud Architect to join a growing, mission-driven technology organization at the intersection of cloud computing, AI, and scientific innovation. This individual will play a critical role in shaping and scaling the company's cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and built for future growth., * Lead the design and evolution of the organization's cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and highly available
• Enhance and optimize existing infrastructure and services
• Implement and strengthen cloud security best practices
• Collaborate closely with engineering and research teams to support evolving technical needs
• Take a hands-on approach to building, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions
• Help establish standards, processes, and long-term architectural direction

This is a high-impact position suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys ownership, and wants to help build and evolve systems from a strong existing foundation., * ~5+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience designing and managing scalable distributed systems
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure best practices
• Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Comfortable in a hands-on, builder role(not purely strategic)

Nice to Have:

• Experience in startup environments and/or large-scale tech companies
• Exposure to AI/ML or data-intensive workloads
• Background in regulated or scientific industries (e.g., biotech, healthcare)

• Standard business hours with occasional on-call responsibility for critical issues

Estimated Min Rate: $154000.00 Estimated Max Rate: $220000.00
