Job description
We are seeking an experienced Digital Engineer to support the development and verification of FPGA-based designs for software-defined radio systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise as well as leadership in guiding a small team of verification engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 2-4 VHDL verification engineers
- Define and maintain digital logic verification frameworks and architectures
- Develop verification plans based on design requirements and specifications
- Perform simulation and verification of FPGA logic designs and support system validation efforts
- Analyze and debug simulation failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with design teams to resolve issues
- Execute regression testing and produce verification metrics and reports
- Work collaboratively within a team of 5-7 engineers Qualifications Required:
Requirements

12+ years of professional technical experience

Strong experience with VHDL design and verification methodologies, preferably within communications systems

Experience across the FPGA product lifecycle, including requirements, design, verification, and production release

Proven ability to manage technical tasks, including forecasting and scheduling

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and program leadership

Experience developing verification plans, functional tests, test benches, and bus functional models

Hands-on experience with Siemens Questa Simulator Preferred:
-
Active Security Clearance
-
Experience leading teams with varied skill levels

Familiarity with cost tracking and metric reporting
-
Experience with OSVVM for full lifecycle functional verification

Scripting experience in Linux environments (Perl, TCL, Bash, Makefile)

Experience with Siemens formal verification tools (e.g., Lint, Inspect, CDC)

Ability to obtain special access program clearances Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100.00 - $170.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
