Engineer Digital 3

We are seeking an experienced Digital Engineer to support the development and verification of FPGA-based designs for software-defined radio systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise as well as leadership in guiding a small team of verification engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 2-4 VHDL verification engineers
• Define and maintain digital logic verification frameworks and architectures
• Develop verification plans based on design requirements and specifications
• Perform simulation and verification of FPGA logic designs and support system validation efforts
• Analyze and debug simulation failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with design teams to resolve issues
• Execute regression testing and produce verification metrics and reports
• Work collaboratively within a team of 5-7 engineers Qualifications Required:

• 12+ years of professional technical experience

• Strong experience with VHDL design and verification methodologies, preferably within communications systems

• Experience across the FPGA product lifecycle, including requirements, design, verification, and production release

• Proven ability to manage technical tasks, including forecasting and scheduling

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and program leadership

• Experience developing verification plans, functional tests, test benches, and bus functional models

• Hands-on experience with Siemens Questa Simulator Preferred:

• Active Security Clearance

• Experience leading teams with varied skill levels

• Familiarity with cost tracking and metric reporting

• Experience with OSVVM for full lifecycle functional verification

• Scripting experience in Linux environments (Perl, TCL, Bash, Makefile)

• Experience with Siemens formal verification tools (e.g., Lint, Inspect, CDC)

• Ability to obtain special access program clearances Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100.00 - $170.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
