LOCATION: To be determined JOB TYPE: Full-time position, 40 hours/week Reports to and is evaluated by the Director of Technology SALARY: ($48,000 - $58,000/per year) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District is seeking to fill a position for an IT Support Technician. Previous experience supporting technology in an educational setting is preferred. Qualifications: *Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware/software and replace hardware components as needed. *Previous experience supporting laptops and desktop computers. *Experience with Google Workspace/G-Suite, Google Docs, and Chromebooks. *Experience supporting end users and computers in an Active Directory networked environment. *Experience installing and supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems. *Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. *Ability and willingness to research and learn new technologies as needed. *Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads when needed. *Ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues. Responsibilities: 1.Installation, support, and maintenance of various school IT systems which may include but not limited to: *School desktop computers, laptops, operating systems, and software. *Networked copiers/printers, and other peripherals in the school. *Computer labs and media centers, 1:1 Chromebooks, laptop carts, Chromebook carts, tablets. 2.Support of instructional technology hardware (SMART Boards, AV Equipment, projectors, document cameras, etc.). 3.Create Active Directory network accounts and maintain groups/permissions. 4.Create G-Suite accounts and maintain school email distribution lists. 5.Monitor and respond to technology support requests in web-based ticketing system. 6.Occasionally assist/train employees with technology needs in both formal and informal settings (group workshops or short courses, one-on-one consultation) at a variety of ability and familiarity levels. 7.Help create and maintain training materials and technology documentation. 8.Help maintain an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, peripherals, etc. 9.Assume other responsibilities as directed by Director of Technology.
