Requirements

Strong experience managing and optimizing distributed NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and Couchbase, including cluster expansion, capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Deep understanding of Cassandra architecture and internals, including Gossip protocol, peer-to-peer communication, replication strategies, compaction strategies, and incremental repairs.

Hands-on expertise with Cassandra administration tools such as nodetool and dsetool for cluster configuration, node management, and performance optimization. Also experience with Couchbase tools such as cbq

Proven experience performing database backup and recovery operations using NodeTool snapshots, CBQ and DataStax OpsCenter.

Experience with SSTable migration and data movement activities across live Cassandra clusters with minimal downtime.

Strong hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools including DSE OpsCenter, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders to explain database architecture concepts, evaluate requirements, and recommend scalable and reliable database solutions.

Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL is an added advantage.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

Expertise in managing large-scale, multi-instance, multi-tenant server environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
